Introduction

Hello, friends:

At the moment, I feel the need to greatly simplify my life. Most of you know the stress that Peggy and I are under right now, so please understand our efforts to find more time for each other and more quiet time for each of us.

So . . . , I am discontinuing my occasional "Scrapbook" newsletters effective immediately. The publication of those newsletters was a something I enjoyed doing, but which consumed way too much of the time I currently have available.

For those who read my "Cowboy Directory Newsletter," I am also discontinuing it after the next issue. And I will stop updating the listings on that web site until futher notice.

I am also putting my "Facebook" account into mothballs after a notice of two or three weeks. Just can't keep up with it.

My genealogical research/writing is also coming to a temporary halt. I had hoped to distribute a "Paregien Family Update" newsletter later in 2010, but that will just have to wait until . . . much later. Sorry.

Also, I am going to reduce the emails that I send to a minimum. Those, too, have been very time consuming. Way too time consuming.

Finally, I am asking those of you who send lots of "non-personal" emails to me to please take me from the list for such mailings. There just isn't enough time in the day to scan or read the 35 to 45 emails each day that have no personal messages, just jokes and political messages and PowerPoint presentations and video clips or links. I'm sorry, but I simply cannot keep up with those things right now.

Having said that, we still look forward to getting personal emails about what is going on with you and your family.
